The year is 20XX….

WWW and, by extent, Forte and Proto were defeated and cast into the recesses of the Undernet and the real world. Finally there was peace, or so the world thought, thanks to Rockman.

Then, darkness began to pour into the net through Dark Chips: distributed by the netnavis known as Darkloids, corrupting and addicting any navi and operator foolish enough to handle them. As if exacerbating problems, an asteroid is on course for passing Earth, but probes and satellites report mass amounts of metal and data, and nine strange netnavis have appeared….

As if the compounded Dark Chip crisis and Space Navi emergency aren’t bad enough, there also begs the resurgence of WWW and the declaration of war on Nebula, and even stranger are whispers of a deeper threat, the dark god Sungod….

Hands are being dealt and lines are being drawn as a war prepares to engulf the entire planet, and Den City is the stage as new and old faces emerge to fight!

The year is 20XX…. But will humanity last much longer?
